To get to Ísafjörður you can either drive Djúpið (Roads 1, 60 and 61), which is the northern fjords or the south fjords through Flókalundur Hotel & Campsite, Dynjandi Ridge and Dynjandi tunnel (Roads 1 and 60).

The distance is ca. 420 km if you drive the south fjords, but thereof are 57 km gravel road, while the northern road is ca. 455 km, all paved. 

Driving in Iceland during the winter can be adventurous for overseas visitors, so please check weather and road conditions daily, before heading off.
